Everthing is to be Positive during the CO visit, so generally, no DF announcements.
But, you could have a hardcore CO that wants to instill fear, ANNOUNCE IT!!!
sometime soon, we are to be "announced" as "no longer one of jehovah's witnesses".
well, that's what you get for testifying against "glorious ones.".
question is: will this kind of announcement be made the week of the co visit?.

i know what they are supposed to be like.
but at this point in time, do you think the elders look joyful?
are they serious bible students?
Having been an Elder for over 20 years, I did find the job rewarding. I liken it to a "pleasure drug", a high if I may. You are up and front of the congregation on a weekly basis, a stand out when at the Assemblies, Quick Builds, etc. I did always feel like I was not doing enough(now it sickens me when they push regular and aux pioneering on a weekly basis). Next month in the KM, they want you to use your vacation time to Pioneer. You become so wrapped up in "The Truth", that when the family wants to get away for a week, you feel guilty, you have to tell them that you are going to be gone a week, and you know some of your fellow Elders are jealous of you, because they are making many sacrifices "for the Truth", and you are going on a vacation. The only time I did any serious study is when I had to prepare a new Public Talk. That is me, I just didn't want to bore everyone from reading from an outline. Even today when I have a talk on the school for example on these individuals in the Bible we know little or nothing about, I just look for one quality good or bad about the person and center my talk on that one point.
hi i am new here thank you for letting me join.
i first of all want to say i am not here to bash the religion.
there are good people in the congregation but also bad ones.
"Actions speak louder than Words".
Be there for your parents and be respectful toward your sister. Be the better person!
so i was at a jw gathering today, and i over heard a brother telling a sister about these new changes.
according to him, both one day circuit assemblies will be put together on the same weekend, one on saturday, the next on sunday.
that way the assembly halls could be used to fit in more circuits as they increase in numbers.
I forgot to mention about C.E.R.T. (Certified Emergency Response Teams). I went to a Regional meeting in Atlanta with the idea that an qualified Elder would put in charge in each city of a Team of 1st responders.
this week our kh devoted the whole service meeting to the upcoming international convention in atlanta.
they read a 5 page letter from the branch which stated basically that we should feel priviledged to be invited to this convention.. however, many are not using the "recomended lodging list", "many hotels still have plenty of rooms available", "we must be loyal to this arrangement", (or the organization will not get their comp rooms)..
They told us No Parking Spaces will be available at the Convention Site.
The are 2 other Events going on at the same time in the general area during the Convention.
thw wts likes to play games with their statistics.
one interesting but truly tragic is the number of jwhovah's witnesses who commit suicie.. now i suspect that if a person commits suicide shortly before or after they are disfellowshipped then the elders would say that person wasn't a witness or that they had done something so terrible that they were too guilty to admit it and by their action of committing suicide they pretty much declared they were no longer a jw.. yup fancy talk to make sure any crap didn't fall on them.. so my question.. do you know of cases like this?
if so then can you answer a few more questions.. had this person been dfed or in real danger of being dfed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?.
A CO in California just had to go to Missouri because his JW Brother just tried to kill himself this past week.
in a private conversation with a c.o.
friend from north carolina, he told me yesterday that they just got a letter that all traveling overseers (do's & co's) age 70 & up are going to be laid off on 09/01/2014.
they will be asssigned to local congregations and further details are pending.. .
From my experience, many do not save their money because they think "The End Is Very Shortly", so they have to spend their money on fancy gadgets and expensive vacations.
Don Wallace told me personally(former DO & CO), that he was "not like the rest". He saved all his money and paid in cash for a new home in Northern Alabama.

They do not mention comp rooms the the R&F, this information is only privy to those involved in the Convention Setups(I was on a committee at one time) and at times, the Rooming Dept. will let the Elders know they have rooms available(Comp rooms) for a suggested donation.
I beleive the Branch did not anticipate that many would either stay with Friends ( I had 3 offers because of my RBC connections), or commute to the Convention site.
BTW Siri82, The letter also included info about Safety in the Big City, Parking for those driving; there is NO parking at the Convention Site. All Delegates will have to locate a Marta Stations and park there and catch a tram to the Convention site.
